Hutto Lane information

The two medians on Hutto Lane (near Jenkins gate) will be restored with new plantings beginning Tuesday Oct. 15. The project will take 2-3 days to complete. Along with new landscaping, the project will include the refurbishing of the drip irrigation system, slight reshaping of one of the medians, and the installation of pine straw to complete the project.

Please be cautious when using this area as there will be workers present.

Yacht Club pipe update

posted 4/9/24 –The outfall project in front of the Yacht Club is nearing completion as designed by our engineering and construction firms. Over the next few days Truluck Construction will repair the bike path and complete the site cleanup. Sanders Brothers Construction and Nu-Pipe also played major parts in this project. All three of these companies have been involved with major projects for Ocean Ridge within the past few years including road paving and storm drain cleaning.

Edisto Triathlon Saturday, October 30, 2021

Posted 10/26/21:  The Edisto Triathlon will be Saturday, October 30, with part of Ocean Ridge used in the run. Approximately 200 men are expected to compete. The event will begin at the State Park with a 1.2 mile swim followed by a 56 mile bike ride that will end at Bay Creek Park where the 13 mile run will begin. Runners will enter the Jenkins gate and do a lap around Rice Lane before heading out the Jenkins gate where the run will be completed. Runners should be in Ocean Ridge in the early afternoon. Please drive cautiously when the participants are in the area.

Road Construction at Ocean Ridge in the Battery Park Area

Posted 4/16/21:  Road construction at Ocean Ridge in the Battery Park area is continuing and is expected to be concluded next week. The following week, construction in the Oristo Ridge area will begin and hopefully be completed by the end of that week. Of course, this plan is contingent on the weather.

Ocean Ridge Resurfacing

Posted 3/28/21:  The road work has begun at Ocean Ridge for the final resurfacing project for the development.

  • Work on the cul-de-sac in area of 20 – 24 Battery Park will begin soon to convert the surface from asphalt to concrete. The cul-de-sac will be closed to all traffic for approximately one week. More details will be sent out soon.
  • Work on the area at entrance to Oristo Ridge will also begin soon. One lane will be closed for approximately one week.
  • Paving is scheduled to begin on Battery Park and Oristo Ridge –on April 12. It will take 2 weeks depending on weather. Thanks for your patience.
